Albany, NY–Russell Sage College's softball team went 3-1 last week with a split against No.12 ranked St. John Fisher College. Along the way, the Gators upped their record to 7-1as well. RSC's junior centerfielder Arianna Papas (Castleton, NY/Maple Hill) was named this week's Empire 8 Softball Co-Player of the Week. This is her second selection as player of the week.

CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Ariana Papas, Russell Sage, Jr., OF, Castleton, NY/Maple Hill
Papas enjoyed another impressive week as Russell Sage went 3-1, including a split with No. 12 ranked St. John Fisher. Papas batted .588 with 10 hits, eight runs scored, three doubles, two home runs and seven RBI's for 19 total bases. She added a 1.118 slugging percentage with a stolen base and a .611 on-base percentage with only one strikeout in 17 at-bats.
On the 2021 season, Papas has a team-leading .600 batting average with four doubles, three home runs, 21 hits and 12 RBI's to go with her .971 slugging percentage.
RSC is back in action on April 20 travelling to Keuka College for an Empire 8 doubleheader commencing at 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
