Michael Branche Joins Sage Women's Basketball Coaching Staff

Albany, NY--Russell Sage College has announced that Michael Branche (Schenectady, NY/Colonie) has been added to the women's basketball coaching staff. A 2014 graduate of Alfred University, Branche arrives at Sage this fall and will serve as the graduate assistant coach for the women's basketball program under head coach Allison Coleman.

Branche, who was a three-year letterwinner at Alfred University on the men's basketball team, earned his bachelor's degree in finance in 2014. He also earned a master's degree from Georgetown University in 2017 in professional studies in sports management.

He possesses a diverse background with a proven record of player development and building a positive team culture. He has also worked previously at Ashford University from 2017-2019 as an Enrollment Services Advisor and arrives at Sage having served as the Premier Basketball Club Head Coach since the fall of 2018. As the head coach at the Premier Basketball Club, he designed and managed practice plans aimed to develop growth as a team and player development.

He is a student in the graduate program at Russell Sage and working toward an MBA degree.
