Emily Cross Joins Sage women's lacrosse coaching staff

Albany, NY--Russell Sage College's women's lacrosse coaching staff has added Emily Cross (Shaftsbury, VT) to the staff. She will serve as a graduate assistant coach on the staff lead by head coach Lauren Marois.

Emily Cross arrives at RSC after having earned her undergraduate degree from Castleton University in December of 2018. While at Castleton, she earned her bachelor's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies (Elementary Education). She arrives at RSC after having spent the last two seasons as the varsity head girls' lacrosse coach at Mount Anthony Union High School.

A four-year letterwinner in lacrosse for the Spartans, she was part of a program that garnered four North Atlantic Conference Championships. She was honored as a second team all-conference performer as a junior. A team captain as a senior on the 2018 squad, she was selected to the NAC First Team as well as NAC All-Tournament Team MVP. Over the course of her collegiate career, she scored 100 goals and also set the program's single-season mark for most assists with 43.

A Peer Leader at Castleton, she also served as a Peer Mentor for the nearby Castleton Elementary School in 2016. A native of Shaftsbury, Vermont, Cross is pursuing her graduate degree at RSC in Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism.
