RSC Men's Basketball Program honored by NABC with Team Excellence Award
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) today announced the 2020-2021 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards, recognizing those men's collegiate basketball student-athletes and teams that have excelled in academics during the past season.
Head Coach Brian Barnes commented, "Our coaching staff is incredibly proud of our team for being recognized with an NABC Team Academic Excellence Award. As a group, we set our sights on this achievement early on in the academic year. Team members worked hard both semesters while embracing our program core values to collectively achieve this goal. Congratulations!"
Sage men's team was also honored with a Team Excellence Award having compiled a 3.011 grade point average for the second straight academic year. This marks the third time Sage's men's basketball team has garnered the award, all coming under the guidance of head coach Brian Barnes.
