Albany, NY – With the release of the latest NCAA Division III women's basketball statistics, Sage's senior Gessica Patregnani (Troy, NY/Lansingburgh) is the national leader in the category. The rise to the top of the category comes after her performance on December 7 against Westfield State University as she hit all five three-point shots she attempted. Patregnani leads the nation with her impressive 68.80 three-point field goal percentage. On the season, she has made 22 of 32 three pointers. She is also ranked 43rd nationally with her 22 made three pointers.
A senior on the Sage women's basketball team, the tri-captain is also making her climb in the Gator career record book. She moved into the No. 4 spot in career three-pointers made with 192 as she moved past Carly Vallee (126, 2009-2013) on Saturday. Patregnani also has 584 career points in her time at Sage. This season she has an 11.5 ppg average with eight starts under her belt. She is also 15th on the Sage career block list with 27 blocks, while standing tied for 16th with in 85 career games played as a Gator.
As a team, Sage is ranked fourth nationally in team three-point field goal percentage as well with a 40.9%, which also leads the Empire 8.
Senior forward Megan Flynn (Hoosick Falls, NY/Hoosick Falls Central) is ranked nationally as well in several categories as she is 24th in rebounds (93), while her 11.6 rebounds per game average is ranked 27th. She is also 39th with her defensive rebounds per game average (7.5) and ranked 61st in offensive rebounds per game (4.1). She is also ranked 71st with her three double-doubles.
Senior Kaitlyn Bowman (Chateaugay, NY/Saranac) is ranked in three categories including a No. 67 ranking in assists with 33, while her 4.1 assists per game average stands 92nd. Sophomore guard Sammy Pasinella (Troy, NY/Mechanicville) is also 74th nationally with her 84.6% free throw percentage.
