SAGE GOLFERS POST STRONG FINISH AT ELMIRA INVITATIONAL
Elmira, NY—The Sage Colleges' men's golf team competed on Tuesday at the Elmira College Invitational at the Elmira Country Clun, a par 72, 6,687 yard course. Oswego State won the team title with a score of 320 and had the medalist in Ryan Fecco who fired a 73 for the day. Sage picked up a sixth place finish in the nine team field with a score pf 348.
Lead the way for the Gators was rookie Connor Affinito (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) as he shot an 81 and finished ninth place overall.
Sage's junior Blake Pritchard (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy) finished with score of 86 and was tied for 14th. Senior Jared Almy (Howes Cave, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) finished with an 88 and tied for 20th, while senior Tyler Schnaible (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) shot a 93 and tied for 33rd place. Sophomore golfer Stuart Phair (Canberra, Australia/Trinity Christian School) posted 99 and rounded out the Gators on Tuesday with a tie for 37th place.
Sage returns to action on September 28 and 29 travelling to play at the Oswego State Fall Invitational.
