Albany, NY- Sage's men's basketball team owns a 10-8 record on the season and stands at 3-4 in the Empire 8. With the release of the latest NCAA Division III men's basketball statistics, Sage is among the teams nationally ranked in 32 different categories.

Sage is ranked in the Top 100 in eight different categories as they head into this week's action. Sage is at Elmira College on January 28 for a 5:30 p.m. Empire 8 game and back in action on February 1 hosting Hartwick College at 2 p.m. on Saturday in Kahl Gym.

Sage ranks 19^th nationally with a 14.5 offensive rebounds per game average, which is also tops in the Empire 8 thus far on the year. The Gators are also 38^th in total rebounds (744), while standing 57th with 41.33 rebounds per game. Sage is also 78^th with 3.8 blocks per game and 65 with 69 total blocks, and also stands 93rd with 8.2 steals per game. The Gators are also 74^th 148 steals and 87^th with their 16.28 forced turnovers per game average.

Individual accomplishments have come for three of the Gators thus far as sophomore forward Jason Geronimo (Orlando, FL/Colonial) is ranked 64th^h nationally with his 3.06 offensive rebounds per game average. On the season, Geronimo has a team-best 7.3 rebounds per game average, while adding a 4.8 points per game. He is also ranked 155^th in total rebounds and is already 14^th in career rebounds at Sage with 235.

Sophomore center Stuart Phair (Canberra, Australia/Tyler Christian School) is ranked in three different categories with the release of the latest NCAA Division III statistics as he is 92^nd in total blocks with 24. He is also 113th his 1.33 blocks per game average and also 190^th with his 2.39 offensive rebounds per game average. He is the team's second leading scorer this year with a 9.3 ppg average to go with his 6.1 rpg and leads the team in blocked shots. Phair has moved into eighth all-time in career blocks at Sage with 37 in his short career at Sage.

Sophomore guard Jalon Borders (Bartow, FL/Bartow) has taken over the team's scoring race with a 13.4 ppg average in 18 starts. He has a 4.8 rpg average is ranked 193^rd in total field goals attempted with 221 and sports a 42.5% field goal shooting average this year.
