Robert Martin scores 6 times as Gators beat Cazenovia, 11-4

Virginia Beach, VA —The Gators of Sage travelled to Virginia and faced Cazenovia College in a neutral game. The Gators posted the 11-4 win to improve to 2-4, while Cazenovia drops to 0-3.

Sage's sophomore attacker Robert Martin (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) led the Gators with his six goals, which is tied for the second most goals in a game. Rookie Anthony Abreu (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Township) added two goals with an assist as the Gators picked up the victory on Tuesday night.

Martin leads Sage with his 24 points already on 21 goals with three assists. Already the program's career point scoring leader, he boasts 73 points with 36 goals as he also became the career goal leader on Tuesday night.

Sophomore defenseman Anthony Raffterty (Albany, NY/Colinie Central) added five ground ball pickups with an assist, while rookie midfielder Ethan Curreri (Miller Place, NY/Rocky Point) also picked up five ground balls.

Sage's s sophomore goalie Michael Capitelli (Oceanside, NY/Oceanside) made 12 saves in the contest and improves to 2-4 in goals with his efforts on Tuesday.

Sage returns to action on March 12 as they will face Hood College in a neutral game to be held in Virginia Beach, Virginia at 3 p.m.
