Baldwinsville, NY—The Sage Colleges' men's golf team wrapped up play on Sunday at the 2018 Empire 8 Fall Championship held at the Timber Banks Country Club, a par 72, 6,739 yard course. Sage finished in eighth place with a two-day score of 715 (362-353), while St. John Fisher captured the league championship.
Sage's sophomore Blake Pritchard (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy) finished in a tie for 23rd place after carding a 164 (85-80). Junior Tyler Schnaible (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) posted a personal-best round on Sunday after he scored an 80 and finished in 25th place with a two-day score of 165 (85-80).
Junior Jared Almy (Howes Cave, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) finished in 42nd place on a two-day total of 192 (99-93), while rookie Aidan O'Neil (Canajoharie, NY/Canajoharie) posted back to back rounds of 97 to finish in 44th place with a 194.
Newcomer, Adam Parker (Quechee, VT/Hartford) added a 45th place showing on a 225 (116-109), while senior Austin Laverty (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) took home 46th place on a score of 231 (119-112).
Next up for the Gators, they will travel to the Elmira College Invitational on September 25.
