Northampton, MA— The Sage Colleges' men's outdoor track and field team was in action on Saturday at the Smith College Invitational. For the third straight week, the Gators have added a number of school record performances with their hard work. This time both the men and women once again added new marks of success under the leadership of rookie head coach David Taranto.

For the Gator men's team, a school record was set in the men's 4 x 400 relay as they posted a time of 3:43.45 and took home third place. They bettered the mark set in 2016 with a time of 3:50.04. Running the relay for the Gators were sophomore Ellis Richardson (Hudson, NY/Hudson), rookie Ramosaj Williams (Hyde Park, NY/Franklin D. Roosevelt), senior captain Jarryd Wick (Ayers, MA/E.F. Parker School), and junior Arnoldo Burnett (Bronx, NY/John F. Kennedy).

In the 200 meter run, Williams took 13^th place in 23.83 and Burnett added a 20^th in 24.45. The pair were also successful in the 100 meter run as Burnett was 19^th in 12.20 and Williams followed in 12.24 to take 22^nd place.

In the 800 meter run, Richardson finished in third in 2:08.06. In the men's 5,000 meter run, Wick took fourth place in 19:47.22. In the javelin throw, Burnett was 8^th with his throw of 32.68 meters, while rookie Trevor Hill (Hudson Falls, NY/Hudson Falls) was 18^th with a throw of 28.15 meters. Hill was 8^th in the discus with his toss of 26.05 meters.

In the 100 meter dash, Williams was 12^th in 11.96, while also picking up a 10^th place showing in the 200 meter dash in 24.09. Burnett was 11^th in the 400 meter run in 56.34 and 16^th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.75.

Sage will be back in action on April 13 at the SUNY-Delhi Invitational.
