Kevin Cain is now in his sixth season leading the men's golf team and first as the head women's golf coach. In August 2020, Sage added women's golf as a varsity program and became competition in 2021-22.

A 2002 graduate of Wingate University, Cain was a four-year letterwinner for the Bulldogs. He has helped Sage's men's golf program transition to the Empire 8, coaching the 2019-2020 E8 Rookie of the Year in Connor Affinito, and helping Blake Pritchard earn multiple All-E8 accolades, while 2021-2022 team member Stuart Phair was also honored as an Empire 8 All-Star after an impressive senior season. Women's golf team member, Alexa Petrovic finished in 17th place at the 2022 Northeast Women's Golf Spring Championship.
