Leading the way for the Gators on the 2017-2018 season, Sage has been bolstered by the play of senior forward Genevieve Schoff (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls), a candidate for the 2018 CoSIDA Academic All-District Team. A 20-game starters for Sage, she has 315 points and 178 rebounds with 26 blocks. She owns a team-best 15.8 ppg average with an 8.9 rpg average, all while making her climb on the Gator career record book. Schoff, last week's Empire 8 Women's Basketball Player of the Week, added her 70th career game of scoring in double-digits as well as 30 career double-doubles.  She continues to add to her career resume that included 1,346 points (No. 2) with 841 rebounds (No. 2) and has now played in 102 career games at Sage. She is now No. 2 in career games played and is also second in career blocks with 122.  She is 67 points away from becoming Sage's all-time leading scorer and 150 rebounds off the all-time rebounding record as well.

The team's second and third leading scorers this year are junior guards Emily Parslow (Fonda, NY/Fonda-Fultonville) and Kaitlyn Bowman (Dannemora, NY/Saranac). Parlsow has a 15.0 ppg average on 314 points, while adding 60 three-pointers and 86 assists, both team best this season. Bowman has an 8.7 rpg average, while connecting for an 8.3 ppg average.

The junior duo is also making some record setting efforts of their own as they are also adding some impressive numbers. Parlsow moved into the No. 8 spot in career scoring on Tuesday and now has 892 points after moving past Susanne Booth (889 points, 1994-1998). She is also edging closer to the all-time three-point record as she is second with 157 behind the 200 three-pointers by Frankie Pearson (2013-2017), while also standing ranking fifth in career assists with 271. Bowman is looking to crack into the Top 15 in scoring as she has 661 points to go with her 538 rebounds, which is sixth best. Bowman is also No. 12 in career assists at Sage with 169 and is the second Bowman to appear in the career assist record at Sage. Her sister, Megan Bowman (2011-2015) holds the career assist mark with 458 assists and finished her career with 1,080 points which is fifth best.

Sage returns to action on Friday and Saturday, February 9 and 10 hosting Houghton College and Alfred University in a pair of Empire 8 conference games. Friday's game tips at 8 and the game with the Alfred Saxons is Saturday at 4 p.m. in Kahl Gym. Sage will host No. 7 ranked St. John Fisher College on Saturday, February 17 at 4 p.m. in the regular-season finale for both teams as they look to secure a No. 1 seed and home court advantage for the 2018 Empire 8 Championships.
