Hershey, PA—Russell Sage College's men's golf team wrapped up play at the 2021-2022 Empire 8 Fall and Spring Championships on Saturday. St. John Fisher College won the 2021-22 Empire 8 Men's Golf Championship after beating the field with a four-day combined score of 1,262. The Spring Championship was held at Hershey Country Club in Hershey, PA. A Hershey Country Club East was a par 70 course with a distance of 6,428 yards, the Gators finished in fourth place for the two events after they combined for a score of 1,338. SJFC's Bryce Barber was the medalist after combining for a 311 for the tournament on rounds of 76-79-80-76.
Scores from the fall portion of the Empire 8 Championship, which was held at Timber Banks Golf Club in Baldwinsville, NY on October 2-3 will be combined with scores from rounds three and four this weekend to determined team and individual awards.
The 2021-22 Empire 8 Men's Golf Team Champion earns an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Championship, which will take place May 10-13 at Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL.

RSC's senior Stuart Phair (Canberra, Australia/Trinity Christian School) shot an 81 on Friday and an 82 on Saturday. Combined with his fall scores of a 79-88, he posted a score of 325 and finished tied for sixth place to take home Empire 8 All-Conference Second Team acclaim.
Graduate player Blake Pritchard (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy) carded a 327 (83-80-86-78) to finished tied for eighth place and also earned a spot on the Empire 8 All-Conference Second Team for his efforts.
RSC's sophomore Austin Carpenter (Peru, NY/Peru) posted a 341 for the tournament to take home 15th place after he carded rounds of 74-90-91-86. Carpenter was named the Empire 8 Third Team All-Conference squad.
Rookie Shane Kammerman (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas) finished in 17th place with a score of 345 (85-80-93-87).
