Gators Drop a Pair of Matches at Skidmore Classic
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Russell Sage College capped its weekend at the Skidmore Volleyball Classic by dropping a pair of matches.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Russell Sage College capped its weekend at the Skidmore Volleyball Classic by dropping a pair of matches. The Gators began the day by falling 3-0 to MCLA.
Senior outside hitter Emma Parkington (Dalton, MA/Wahconah Regional) (above) led RSC against the Trailblazers. The co-captain recorded the 15th double-double of her career on 11 kills and 10 digs. Junior defensive specialist Elaina Moisidis (Albany, NY/Albany) elevated 19 MCLA attacks, while sophomore right side Statia Walker (Schodack, NY/Maple Hill) added 19 assists and eight digs.
The Trailblazers (7-5) had a pair of players, senior middle hitter Reagan Scattergood, and freshman right side Chloie Garber, register double-doubles in the win. Scattergood totaled 13 kills on .357 hitting and 10 digs, while Garber contributed 11 kills and 14 digs.
Skidmore (9-8) defeated the Gators 3-0 in the final match of the day.
Parkington topped RSC with six kills, while Walker dished out 10 assists.
The Thoroughbreds, which hit .398 as a team, had five players tally six or more kills in the victory.
Looking ahead, Sage (4-14) hosts Utica on Wednesday night. The Empire 8 Conference game is set to begin at 7:00 pm.
Notes: Moisidis averaged 5.11 digs per set at the three matches held this weekend...Senior middle hitter Celia Gagnon (Troy, NY/Ichabod Crane) and Parkington began the week among the E8 leaders in points per-set… Gagnon ranked seventh with 3.11 points per-set, while Parkington was eighth with 3.05 points per-set... Parkington recorded her 500th career kill on Saturday, September 11 at SUNY New Paltz…The co-captain, currently with 626 career kills, has 15 career double-doubles, five of which came this season… Moisidis, who has been in double figures in digs for all but three of the matches this fall, ranked third in the conference with 4.61 digs per-set...She registered her 500th career dig on Saturday, September 11 at SUNY New Paltz...The RSC libero currently has 704 digs in her time as a Gator…Walker has contributed seven double-doubles this fall.
