NEW LONDON, Conn. – Russell Sage College netted eight of the first ten goals to secure an 18-4 road win at Mitchell College this afternoon.
The Gators (2-3), which led 6-1 after the first quarter and 13-2 at the half, had four players record at least three points in the non-conference victory.
Senior attackman Bailey Martin (Syracuse, NY/Onondaga Central) (above) registered five goals and three assists, while attackman Hunter Brunelle (Skaneateles, NY/Jordan-Elbridge), a grad student, contributed a goal and five assists.
Senior midfielder Shea Obado (Spotswood, NJ/Spotswood) added three goals and an assist, while freshman attackman Kollin Matthews (Marcy, NY/Whitesboro) fired three goals into the net.
Senior goalie Michael Capitelli (Oceanside, NY/Oceanside) stopped 14 Mariner shots, while sophomore midfielder Dean Sampson (Staten Island, NY/Tottenville) went 14-for-19 in the X and scooped 13 groundballs.
Freshman attackman Aidan Messuri and sophomore midfielder Dominick Reposa totaled a goal and an assist apiece to lead Mitchell (1-3)
Looking ahead, RSC heads to Virginia for spring break. The Gators will play Centenary in Virginia Beach on Wednesday at 1:00 PM
