ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College sophomore attacker Grace Hines (Schenectady, NY/Guilderland) and junior goalkeeper Madeline Butta (Millbrook, NY/Our Lady of Lourdes) received weekly honors from the Empire 8 Conference for the period ending Sunday, April 10. Butta was the Goalkeeper of the Week, while Hines took home Co-Player of the Week accolades.
Butta (above) stopped 17 of the 20 shots that she faced in Friday's 13-3 E8 win vs. Keuka. The 17 saves were a career-high for the junior.
RSC is scheduled to play next on Wednesday at Utica. The E8 game is set to begin at 6:00 PM.
Notes: Hines ranks second in the conference with 3.30 goals per-game...She paces RSC with 34 points, 33 goals and one assist...Friday afternoon was the fifth time this spring that Butta recorded double-digit saves.
