UTICA, NY – Russell Sage College's men's indoor track and field team wrapped up competition at the 2022 Empire 8 Indoor Track and Field Championship hosted by Utica University. By meet's end, the Gator men broke a trio of school records the meet and finished in fifth pace in the team standings.

For the second straight day, junior captain John Coddington (Amsterdam, NY/Broadalbin-Perth) finished as the conference runner-up. On Saturday, he was second with a school record effort in the weight toss. He also broke his own school record along the way with his mark of 15.81 meters bettering his own effort of 15.58 meters from last week.
Rookie David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia) picked up fourth place in the triple jump with a leap of 13.03 meters to break his own school record in the process (12.12 m). He was also fifth in the 200 meter dash in 22.96.
Rookie Zakhariah Chowdhury (Hudson, NY/Hudson) picked up eighth place in the triple jump with his leap of 12.17 meters.
The Gators were sixth in the 4 x 400 meter relay with a time of 3:58.91 as Adadjo, freshman Isaac Langer (Hudson, NY/Taconic Hills), senior Brett LaBier (Albany, NY/Colonie), and junior Joe Degiorgio (Troy, NY/Troy) combined in the event.
Next up for the Gators is the 2022 All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Championships hosted by Nazareth College on March 3-4.
