Trimblett Tapped as Skyline Co-Player of the Week for the Second Straight Week

Skyline Week 6 Release

NEW YORK – Sage sophomore Samantha Trimblett (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) was named the week six Skyline Co-Player of the Week. This is Trimblett's second straight weekly award.

The forward was huge for the Gators in Sage's 2-1 week. In their 2-1 double-overtime loss at Bard, Trimblett scored the game-tying goal in the second half. Later that week, the sophomore combined for four goals and two assists in big wins over Maritime and Yeshiva.

Trimblett is nationally ranked in shots/game (8th, 5.91), points/game (22nd, 2.45), shots-on-goal/game (23rd, 2.91), goals/game (26th, 1.0), points (29th, 27) and goals (31st, 11). The forward also tops the Skyline in four statistical categories. Trimblett leads the Gators in most categories along with Joleen Marfone (Remsen, NY/Remsen) (eight assists), Taylor Lynch (Woodstock, NY/Saugerties) (three game-winning goals), Ariannah Logan (Canajoharie, NY/Canajoharie) (.286 shot percentage), Maegan Villa (Rock Tavern, NY/Washingtonville) (.800 shot-on-goal percentage) and Cassy Robataille (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) (70 saves, eight wins, 1.71 goal-against-average, .778 save percentage, five shutouts).

Joining Trimblett at the Co-Player of the Week is SUNY-Old Westbury's Sara Bey. Bey scored two goals and added an assist in the Panther's 1-1 week. The senior scored a game-tying goal against Lehman and the game-winner against Sarah Lawrence. Bringing in the Skyline Rookie of the Week honor was Mount Saint Mary's Theresa Stinson. The forward scored two goals to garner her second Rookie of the Week honor.

Currently topping the Skyline is Farmingdale State with 18 points. Tied for second are Sage, Mount Saint Vincent and Mount Saint Mary with 12 points. Rounding out the top six are Purchase and St. Joseph's – Long Island with 10 points apiece.

Sage takes on Hamilton tonight on the road in their last non-conference game of the season. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
