New York, NY–The Sage Colleges' women's volleyball team had one player honored in the first weekly release for the Skyline Conference with the selection of the performers of the week. Senior setter Rachel Liebig (Hartford, NY/Hartford) was saluted as the league's women's volleyball player of the week.
On the opening week, Liebig who also was named to the Oswego State All-Tournament Team earned Skyline Conference Player of the Week honors to open her senior campaign. She averaged 8.62 setting assists with a 0.38 service aces per match average and also chipped in 0.92 digs per set for the Gators on a three-match weekend. She tallied 45 setting assists and two assisted blocks in the opening night match with Anna Maria College. By weekend's wrap, she added 39 setting assists against the College of New Rochelle. She stands third all-time at Sage with her 2,488 career setting assists.
The Gators return to action with the team's 2016 home opener on September 7 hosting the Broncos of SUNY-Delhi in the Kahl Gym at 7 p.m.
