Kennilworth, NJ---The Sage Colleges' men's golf team travelled to New Jersey to compete in a dual match with the Gothic Knights of New Jersey City University. The match was held at Galloping Hills Golf Course in Kennilworth, NJ, a par 71 course with a length of 6,273 yards. The host Gothic Knights fired a 313 to beat the Gators, who shot a 411 on the round.
Leading the way for Sage was junior captain Casey Fitzpatrick (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill) as he carded an 84 for the day.
Rookie Tyler Schnaible (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) carded a 102, while rookie Jared Almy (Howes Cave, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) had a 108. Sophomore Austin Laverty (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) carded a 117 for Sage.
Sage returns to action on Sunday, October 9 when they compete at the Berkshire Hills Country Club in Pittsfield, Massachusetts with MCLA.
