Farmingdale, NY---The Sage Colleges' men's golf team travelled to Long Island to compete the two-day Skyline Conference Championship, held at the Beth Page State Park-Red Course, a par 70 course with a distance of 6,900 yards. Farmingdale State College captured the team championship with a score of 602 for the two days, just edging Mt. St. Mary College, which carded a 622 to take home the runner-up title. Sage finished in seventh place in the team standings with a score of 814 (413-401).

Leading the way for Sage was junior captain Casey Fitzpatrick (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill) as he carded an opening round 93 and then shot a 91 on day two to post a 24th place finish with his round of 184.
Rookie Jared Almy (Howes Cave, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) had a 103 on the first day but rebounded to card a 94 on Monday, combining for a 197 and a 26th place finish. Freshman Tyler Schnaible (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) tied for 27th place after shooting 198 (102-96). Sophomore Austin Laverty (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) carded a 235 and finished in 32nd place on rounds of 115 and 120.
