Annandale-on-Hudson, NY – The Sage Colleges' men's volleyball team wrapped competition on Saturday afternoon at the Raptor Invitational at Bard College. For the second year in a row, Sage claimed the team championship title after going undefeated in play with a 3-0 record for the event. Sage posted a pair of 3-0 wins over both Keuka College and the College of Mt. St. Vincent on Saturday and have extended their win streak to five matches and check in with a 13-2 record on the season.

For the second straight year, Sage's senior setter Kyle Ray (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) was named the MVP of the Raptor Invitational. Also named to the All-Tournament Team for the Gators were sophomore outside Andy Fishman (Cornwallville, NY/ Cairo-Durham) and junior outside Dylan Krowicki (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls).

Against Keuka, Sage posted a 3-0 win (25-12, 25-13, 25-13) and held the opposition to just a -.151 hitting percentage, while forcing nine service errors and eight reception errors. 

Fishman, who leads the country in aces in Division III with his impressive 56 aces this season with a 1.37 aces per set average, added two aces in the action. He added eight kills with three digs and had a .636 attack percentage in the contest. 1.5 aces per set average. 

Krowicki had six kills with a dig and an ace over the course of the contest to help the Gators to a combined .310 hitting percentage in the match. Ray had 26 setting assists with four digs, while junior opposite Scott Fitzgerald (Fort Edwards, NY/Queensbury) had five kills with a pair of aces, six digs and a pair of block assists.

Senior middle hitter Spencer Hilland (Slingerlands, NY/Bethlehem Central) had five kills with a pair of aces and two block assists.

Against the Dolphins of the College of Mt. St. Vincent, the Gators posted a 3-0 win (25-6, 25-12, 25-11) and were paced by a number of strong performances as the team combined for 17 aces and held CMSV to a -.016 attack percentage, while committing no reception errors in 23 total attempts.

Krowicki racked up eight kills with a pair of digs, two aces and a solo block. Fishman tallied six kills with two aces and eight digs with a pair of block assists.  Hilland added six kills with six digs and three block assists.  Ray racked up 23 setting assists with a pair of aces and five digs.

On the season, Hilland now has 101 kills with 74 digs and 25 total blocks. Krowicki leads the Gators with his 146 kills and 95 digs, while Ray checks in with 462 setting assists. Hilland checks in with a program-best 658 kills on his career with 173 total blocks. Krowicki has elevated his career resume to include 464 kills, while Ray's career record for most setting assists is now at 2,061 with a program-best 571 digs.

The Gators are back in action on Wednesday, February 27 hosting Kean University at 7 p.m. in the Kahl Gym in a Skyline Conference match against the defending league champions.
