Sage extends win streak to five matches with convincing victory over Yeshiva

Albany, NY – The Sage Colleges' men's volleyball team hosted the Maccabees of Yeshiva University on Thursday night in the Kahl Gym in a Skyline Conference match. The Gators tallied a 3-0 win (25-12, 25-9, 25-8) and have extended their win streak to five matches. Sage is now 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the Skyline, while Yeshiva drops to 2-5 overall and 0-3 in the conference.

Sage's sophomore outside Andy Fishman (Cornwallville, NY/Cairo-Durham)led the Gators with his 11 kills, while tallying nine aces and eight digs.  Senior middle hitter Spencer Hilland (Slingerlands, NY/Bethlehem Central) paced Sage with a hitting .615 percentage as he had eight kills, seven digs and two total blocks.

Senior setter Kyle Ray (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) dished out 23 setting assists, while junior outside Dylan Krowicki (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) added seven kills (5-0-9, .778), an ace, and six digs.  Junior opposite Scott Fitzgerald (Fort Edwards, NY/Queensbury) contributed seven kills for the Gators with two aces and three digs.

Yeshiva's senior outside hitter Jared Rechnitz (Los Angeles, CA/YULA) had eight kills for the Maccabees with a pair of digs. Senior middle back Daniel Lapson (Skokie, IL/Ida Crown Jewish Academy) added four kills for Yeshiva in the action.

The Gators will return to action on February 11 travelling to Ramapo College for a 7 p.m. Skyline Conference match.
