New York, NY – With the release of the 2014 Skyline Conference Women's Volleyball All-Star Team, Sage found four players honored with selections.

Named to the First Team as an outside hitter for the a record fourth time is senior tri-captain Helen Putriment (Troy, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville), while senior Rachel Martin (Troy, NY/Troy) and sophomore libero Siena Wilder (Ballston Spa, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Spa) earned their first posting on the first team. Sophomore setter and team tri-captain Rachel Liebig (Hartford, NY/Hartford) was tapped for the Second Team.

Putriment was honored numerous times over the course of the 2014 season having earned all-tournament team honors at the Plattsburgh State All-Tournament Team as well as the Most Valuable Player Award at the Skidmore College Classic Tournament. She was honored as the Skyline Player or Co-Player of the Week on three separate occasions as well as earning ECAC Division III Metro Co-Player of the Week once this fall. She is the first player in the program's history to honored by the Skyline with four first-team selections. The 2011 Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year, she was honored as a junior with a selection as the 2013 Skyline Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Year.  

This fall, she leads the team with her 280 kills and 318.5 points. She has 28 aces with 16 total blocks and 325 digs. She racked up 11 double-doubles this fall having connected for double digit kills and digs in her 97 sets played. As of November 4, she ranked nationally in points per set average (3.28) as well as hitting percentage (.295).

Overall as a Gator, Putriment has 1,324 career kills which is No. 2 only behind the record held by Caitlin (CJ) Ostrowski with 1,411 (2004-2006). She also has 1,654 career digs and is six shy of moving into the No. 3 spot held by Kelsey Wilson (1,669, 2008-2011). She is also No. 14 on the career aces list with 117 aces after connecting for 28 this season alone.

Martin, who earned Skyline Conference First Team honors in her first year as a Gator was also honored as the league's Player of the Week on September 15 after helping the Gators capture the Plattsburgh State College Tournament, where she was named tournament MVP.  This fall, she has 237 kills, 17 aces and team-leading 51 blocks. She also has 28 digs as well in 91 sets played with a team-best .338 attack percentage and ranks No. 41 nationally in Division III.

Wilder has amassed a team-best 90 aces this season, which leads the Gators and is ranked No. 3 in Division III. She is currently No. 1 in the Skyline Conference and No. 4 in Division III with her 0.92 aces per set average. She has also tallied 38 kills with a team-best 384 digs in 98 sets played. She is currently No. 3 on the Sage single-season ace list and is making a run for the single-season mark at Sage.

Liebig leads the Gators with her 910 setting assists and has played in all 100 sets this fall. She has 77 aces and 113 digs as well in her second season. She opens the week ranked No. 5 in career setting assists (1,354), while her 2014 numbers are currently No. 9 in single-season efforts as Sage. She is ranked nationally as well in four different categories. She is No. 9 in aces in Division III, while ranking No. 17 in aced per set average (0.77), No. 67 in setting assists, and No. 78 in total assists.

Sage brings a record of 23-6 into the 2014 Skyline Conference Championship weekend having won the 2014 regular-season title with their second straight unbeaten league campaign. The Gators produced a 20-win streak as well mid-year and are looking for the program's third possible Skyline Conference Championship when they take part in the Skyline Fall Festival on November 7 and 8 on the campus of Purchase College. The Gators won the league title and NCAA Division III bids in 2007 and 2008.

Sage is also ranked nationally as a team in several categories, including No. 5 in service aces (322), No. 6 in aces per set (3.29), and No. 41 in win percentage (.793). The Gators are ranked No. 55 in team hitting percentage (.221), while several players are also ranked for their efforts in the team's successful 2014 campaign.

The top seeded Gators will face the Dolphins of No. 4 seeded, College of Mt. St. Vincent on November 7 at 5 p.m., while No. 2 seeded St. Joseph's College (LI) will meet Mt. St. Mary College in the second semifinal match at 7 p.m. The winners meet Saturday, November 8 at 1 p.m. at Purchase College.
