New York, NY – After collecting three straight selections as the Skyline Conference Player of the Week, Sage senior outside hitter Helen Putriment (Troy, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) was also named the Corvais Eastern College Athletic Conference Metro Division III Co-Player of the Week.

Putriment compiled 28 kills, 21 digs and 11 service aces over nine sets as Sage beat all three opponents last week, 3-0 (Bard, Old Westbury and Sarah Lawrence). She had an impressive .471 attack percentage on the week. She registered 11 kills versus Bard, with eight kills and nine digs on Oct. 11 against Sarah Lawrence College. She hit .692 with nine kills versus SUNY-Old Westbury on Oct. 11 and has now earned Skyline Player of the Week three times this fall.

On the season, she has 224 kills with 270 digs. She has a .303 attack percentage this season to go with her 259.5 points and has played in 77 sets this fall. She is one of just three Gator women's volleyball players to have 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs. She brings 1,268 career kills and 1,599 digs into the week and also has 114 career aces.  On her 2014 season, she is nationally ranked in hitting percentage (No. 109) and No. 238 in points.

Putriment opened her Sage career as the 2011 Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year and was also having earned Skyline Conference Player of the Year status as a junior for the 2013 Gators.

Sage is 19-4 on the year, riding a 16-match win streak and also ranks nationally as a team in several categories. Sage is No. 9 in Division III in team aces (257), while also ranking in the Top 10 in aces per set (No. 8, 3.25) as well as No. 39 in win percentage (.826). The Gators are 5-0 in the Skyline Conference and are also riding an 18-match conference win streak that dates back two years as the team's last loss in league play was October 3, 2012 to Mt. St. Mary College (3-1). 

The Gators return to action on October 18 hosting a Skyline Conference tri-match at the Neff Athletic Center (Troy, NY). Sage will face the College of Mt. St. Vincent at 11 a.m. and 2013 Skyline Conference champions, St. Joseph's College (LI) at 3 p.m. Sage will hold their Faculty Appreciation Day in conjunction with the Gators' match with the Golden Eagles at 3 p.m.
