Poughkeepsie, NY – The Sage Colleges' women's volleyball team travelled to Vassar College for a tri-match with the host Brewers and Kean University. Sage fell to Vassar (3-1, 25-18, 20-25, 25-15, 25-14) and dropped a 3-1 decision to Kean (25-27, 25-12, 25-15, 25-23). The Gators stand at 4-13 on the year.

Against Vassar, Sage's junior outside hitter Helen Putriment (Troy, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) connected for her fifth double-double of the fall as she had 13 kills with 12 digs, two aces and block assist. She had a .303 attack percentage in the match as well.

Senior setter Joanie Cooney (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) handed out 23 setting assists with 11 digs, while junior defensive specialist Katelyn Drollette (Cadyville, NY/Saranac) had 14 digs with a pair of aces.

Against Kean University, Putriment had an additional double-double with her 20 digs and 10 kills. Overall on the season, she has a team-best 154 kills with 22 aces and is second with her 231 digs. Overall on her career, she now has 840 kills, 1,088 digs, and 75 aces. She ranks No. 6 in career kills and No. 12 in career digs.

Drollette chipped in with her 15 digs, while freshman Sara Campolieta (Fulton, NY/G. Ray Bodley) added five kills with 13 digs. Cooney had 10 digs with 27 setting assists and three total blocks. Cooney leads the Gators with her 347 setting assists this fall, elevating her career resume to include 2,750, which is No. 2 all-time at Sage.

Sage returns to action on September 24 hosting MCLA in a non-conference match at 7 p.m. in the Neff Athletic Center (Troy, NY).
