ALBANY, N.Y. – Senior libero Katelyn Atchinson (Alplaus, NY/Niskayuna/Saint Rose), and middle hitter Caitlin Hammecker (Warnerville, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville/
Hammecker, who also earned the honors last fall, topped RSC with 43 total blocks, while Atchinson led the Gators with 351 digs, 3.73 per-set. The duo helped RSC (14-14) qualify for the Empire 8 Conference Championship Tournament for the first time.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced January 14, 2025.
