ALBANY, N.Y. – Playing for the second time in a four-day span, Russell Sage College swept visiting SUNY Cobleskill 3-0 (25-10, 25-13, 25-14) this evening in the Kahl Campus Center.
The Gators, off to a 3-1 start for the second-straight fall, forced SUNY Cobleskill (1-3) into a -.106 hitting percentage in the non-conference win.
Senior outside hitter Macey Salvione (Johnstown, NY/Gloversville) paced RSC with 19 kills on .385 hitting.
Setter Emma Rainville (Castleton, NY/Columbia/Binghamton), a grad student, registered 30 assists, three aces and two total blocks, while senior defensive specialist Savannah Petersen (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady) contributed four aces and led all participants with 12 digs.
Sophomore outside hitter Emma Hinze, one of three Fighting Tigers with five or more kills, elevated 10 RSC attacks in defeat.
RSC hosts Union on Friday at 6:00 pm.
