KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – Russell Sage College outscored host Keuka 27-4 in the second quarter to pick up an 80-29 road Empire 8 Conference victory this evening.
The Gators (10-7/6-4 E8), which led 45-14 at the half, held Keuka to 18.9 percent shooting, including 12.9 percent from beyond the arc.
Sophomore guard Syrita Faraj (Troy, NY/Tamarac) topped all players with 23 points. The reigning E8 Rookie of the Year, who netted 16 points in the first half, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out five assists.
Forward Giuliana Pritchard (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam/Hartwick), a graduate student, added 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting, and rebounds, while senior guard Sammy Pasinella (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) tossed in 12 points.
Senior forward Meg McGwin and senior guard Killian Mahoney paced the Wolves (3-14/0-10 E8) with six points each.
RSC continues E8 play next at Utica on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm.
