ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College junior forward El Hadji Iba Sy (Bronx, NY/Emma Lazarus) was named the Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, September 25. He netted three goals, including two game-winners, across a pair of victories.
Iba Sy currently ranks third in the conference with six goals and sits fifth with 12 points. He tops the E8 with three game-winning goals.
Looking ahead, the Gators (4-2-1/2-0-0 E8), in the midst of a three-game winning streak, play at Fitchburg State on Tuesday evening. The non-conference action is slated to begin at 6:00 pm.
