Schenectady, NY – Russell Sage College's field hockey team hosted the Highlanders of Houghton University on Saturday afternoon at Union College's Frank Bailey Stadium. Houghton posted an 11-0 win to move to 10-4and 5-1 in the Empire 8, while RSC drops to 0-11 overall and 0- in the league.
In goal for the Gators, rookie Jaia Caron (Bellows Falls, VT/Bellows Falls Union) made a personal-best 18 saves as the Highlanders had 44 shots. Rookie midfielder Eve Tonks (Millbury, MA/North Brookfield) recorded a pair of defensive saves as well.
The Gators return to action on October 19 hosting Utica University in a 6 p.m. Empire 8 conference match at U Albany's Alumni Field. RSC will also take on Wells College now on October 20 at UAlbany at 4p.m.
