ALBANY, N.Y. – Freshman guard Mike McLaughlin (Clearwater, FL/Clearwater) represented Russell Sage College Men's Basketball on the Empire 8 Conference Sportsmen of the Year Team.
One member of each institution makes the 2022-23 E8 Men's Basketball Sportsmen of the Year Team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees distinguish themselves by consistently exhibiting the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen.
McLaughlin appeared in 20 games for the Gators (4-21) as a rookie. He scored in twin figures on three occasions and made 33.3 percent of his three-point attempts.
