ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Director of Athletics Jim Lyons announced a pair of promotions within the department, effective Monday, February 6.
Head Softball Coach and Assistant Athletic Director Erica Li has been promoted to Associate Athletic Director.
"I am thrilled to have Erica in her new role and look forward to working together to help move Russell Sage College Athletics forward," said Lyons.
Head Baseball Coach and Interim Head Field Hockey Coach Nick Pontari has been promoted to Assistant Director of Athletics.
"In his time at Sage, Nick has had a profound impact on not only the student athletes he coaches, but on all of our student athletes," said Lyons.
"I look forward to working with Nick, Erica, as well as all of our administrative team members, as we support our athletes in the classroom, on the fields and courts of competition, and in our community"
Russell Sage College Athletics sponsors 21 athletic programs at the NCAA Division III level. The Gators compete as a member of the Empire 8 Conference in 18 of those sports. Men's Volleyball is a member of the New England Collegiate Conference, while eSports competes as a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Esports league. Women's Golf competes as a member of the Northeast Women's Golf Conference.
