KANSAS CITY – Russell Sage College Women's Soccer defender Courtney Bush (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) earned All-Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches for the second-straight season.

Bush, the anchor of the RSC defense, was voted fourth-team All-Region and second-team All-Empire 8 Conference. The three-time All-Conference performer helped the Gators rank third in the E8 with a 0.89 goals-against average and tally six clean sheets this fall.

"Courtney's presence on the field has been a game-changer for us," said Head Coach Garrett Cobb. "As a leader in our defense, she's consistently set the standard with her performance and commitment.  Making All-Region reflects her incredible impact on our program, and we're grateful for all she brings to our team each day." 

RSC (6-7-5/5-3-3 E8) made the E8 Championship Tournament for the fifth time in program history, including in each of the past three years.  The Gators fell 1-0 at Nazareth in the Quarterfinals. 

Gator Bites with Papa John's: Cobb completed his ninth season at the helm of the Gators in 2024…15 players, including eight starters, returned this fall…First-team All-E8 Conference picks Bush and forward Marissa Key (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury), a grad student, highlighted the group...Sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Horan (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) finished her autumn ranked third in program records with 11 career shutouts…Key concluded the campaign with 78 career games played, tied for first among RSC players…Senior defender Amelia Geesler (Glenmont, NY/Bethlehem Central) was selected the E8 Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, October 20...She scored two goals, including the game-winning goal on October 16 vs. Utica, to help RSC pick up a pair of E8 victories.
