RSC Women's Soccer Draws with UMass Boston on Wet Saturday Afternoon

ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Women's Soccer battled through rainy conditions to earn a draw against UMass Boston on Saturday afternoon. 

Junior defender Courtney Bush (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) squared the game up at one with 25 minutes to go as she headed a corner kick from sophomore midfielder Jaclyn Benedetti (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes) to the back of the net for her first goal of the season. 

Sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Horan (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) (0-1-2) saved eight of the nine shots on goal that UMass Boston kicked at her.

UMass Boston (2-0-1) outshot the Gators 12-4 on the afternoon. Their lone goal came from the boot of junior midfielder Andrea Rivera.

The Gators are back in action on Wednesday, September 11 as they host the Broncos of SUNY Delhi.
