GENESEO, N.Y. – Visiting Russell Sage College and SUNY Geneseo played to a scoreless draw on a rainy Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore midfielder Jaclyn Benedetti (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes) topped the Gators (2-3-3/1-1-1 E8) with two shots taken, while sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Horan (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) (2-3-3) stopped all 11 SUNY Geneseo shots that were on goal. Horan now has 8.5 career shutouts, good for third all-time among RSC goalkeepers.
SUNY Geneseo (4-3-2/1-1-1 E8) out-shot the Gators 15-7 across the 90 minutes, and held a 7-4 advantage on corner kicks.
Looking ahead, RSC is back on the pitch on Wednesday night at Union. Start time for the non-conference action is slated for 7:00 PM.
