Brace Named Skyline Pitcher of the Week

NEW YORK – Senior Lindsay Brace (Moriah, NY/Moriah Central) was named the week five Skyline Pitcher of the Week.

Brace threw a complete-game shutout Sunday afternoon against Purchase in a 4-0 win. The senior struck out eight batters, while scattering a mere 10 baserunners on four hits and six walks.

The pitcher currently leads the Skyline in strikeouts (55) and saves (one). Brace ranks 3rd in career strikeouts (167), 7th in career wins (18), 8th in single-season strikeouts (67, 2015), 10th in single-season wins (eight, 2015) and 10th in career ERA (3.84) in Sage history.

Sage (12-10, 7-1 Skyline) is currently in second place in the Skyline. Mount Saint Mary currently leads the conference with a perfect 8-0 record.

The Gators host MCLA tomorrow at Robison Field in doubleheader action starting at 3:30 p.m.
