Troy, NY – The Sage Colleges' men's tennis team hosted the Pioneers of Utica College on Wednesday afternoon. The Pioneers tallied an 8-1 win to improve to 1-5, while Sage drops to 0-6.

Sage's sophomore Casey Fitzgerald (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill) picked up a key win in his Gator debut on the tennis court as he was a winner in three sets over senior Jacob Nigolian (Syracuse, NY/Westhill) at fifth singles. He won the first set, 7-6 (7-4), but lost the second set 6-3. He came back to win the marathon tie-breaker, 15-13 for his first career win.
