Middletown, CT--The Sage women's outdoor track and field squad travelled to Connecticut to compete at the Wesleyan University Swanson Invitational, a non-team scored meet. Along the way, Sage's two teams broke three school records at the meet.
In the 100 meter run, junior Krystal Lambert (Brooklyn, NY/John Dewey) was 8t in 13.92, while junior Kelly DiBiaso (Bristol, CT/Saint Paul Catholic) was 17th in 15.61. Rookie Kadedra Allen (Troy, NY/Troy) picked up 18th in 15.94.
In the 200 meter run, DiBiaso was 19th in 34.40 and Allen was next in 20th in 35.32.
For Sage in the 1,500 meter run, Fisher was 16th in 6:04.51, while Belfast took home 20th in 6:52.02.
Leggett added a sixth in the high jump with her mark of 1.27 meters, while Lambert was fourth in the long jump with a leap of 4.6 meters. In the discus, rookie Madeleine Herring (Goshen, NY/John Burke Catholic) picked up fourth with a toss of 24.92 meters, while also finishing in 8th in the shot put with her mark of 7.56 meters. She was also 16th in the javelin with a throw of 14.89 meters.
Freshman Logan Thayer (S. Glens Falls, NY/South Glens Falls) was fifth in the discus with her throw of 24.72 meters and had a 12th place finish in the javelin with a throw of 19.33 meters.
Next up for the Gators is a competition on April 30 at the Capital District Championship at RPI.
