Albany, NY– The Sage Colleges' men's volleyball hosted the Panthers of Purchase College in a Skyline Conference match at Kahl Gym. Sage beat Purchase 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-17) to improve to 4-7 overall and 2-2 in the league, while e.

Rookie outside hitter, Bailey Cecchi (Agawam, MA/Agawam) racked up eight kills with two digs, while finishing the night with no errors in 13 reception attempts. Freshman setter Tyler Bastos (Ludlow, MA/Ludlow) finished with 23 setting assists, while adding four digs and four kills. Freshman middle hitter Ryan Guyton (Lockport, NY/Lockport) added six kills with three aces and four digs. He added three total blocks as well in the action.

Rookie Casey Fitzpatrick (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill) racked up five kills with six digs and two aces, while senior co-captain Thaddeus Sipe (Loudonville, NY/Hawthorne Valley) added four digs with three total blocks. Senior Juan Pulanco (Bronx, NY/Urban Assembly Academy) made his season debut on Wednesday and had four kills and two digs.

Sage returns to action on February 28 travelling to Kean University for a Skyline Conference tri-match with NJCU. Matches for the Gators are Saturday at 1 and 3 p.m.
