Cecchi rewarded for opening week efforts with Skyline and ECAC Rookie of the Week honors

New York, NY---Rookie men's volleyball player, Bailey Cecchi (Agawam, MA/Agawam) earned Skyline Conference Weekly honors for his efforts last week in his first week of collegiate play. By week's end, he was named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week. He also added ECAC Corvais Division III South Rookie of the Week honors to his collegiate resume.

He helped the Gators as they went 1-2 on the week. He ammaed 40 kills with a .412 attacked percentage for the week. He added 16 kills as the Gators faced SUNY-Polytechnic. He added 17 in the Gators' 3-0 win over Brooklyn College and wrapped the day at the Golden Dome Classic with seven kills and four digs in a loss to Rutgers-Newark. He averaged 4.44 kills per set with a 1.78 digs per set average in nine sets played.

Sage returns to action on Saturday and Sunday, February 7-8 at the Keuka College Tournament facing Elms College, Regis College and the host, Keuka College in play this coming weekend.
