Keuka Park, NY– The Sage Colleges' men's volleyball wrapped up competition on Sunday morning at the Keuka College Invitational. The Gators faced Regis College, but fell 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-10). The loss puts Sage at 2-4 on the year, while Regis is now 2-3 on the year.
Sophomore co-captain Chris MacArthur (Hillsdale, NY/Taconic Hills) and freshman middle hitter Ryan Guyton (Lockport, NY/Lockport) added six kills each for the Gators. Rookie outside hitter, Bailey Cecchi (Agawam, MA/Agawam) connected for five kills with six digs and two solo blocks. Rookie Casey Fitzpatrick (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill) led the team with his 12 digs and added four kills. Freshman setter Tyler Bastos (Ludlow, MA/Ludlow) finished with 17 setting assists, while adding five kills and five digs. Senior co-captain Thaddeus Sipe (Loudonville, NY/Hawthorne Valley) added five digs in the action.
Sage returns to action on February 12 hosting the Mountaineers of Southern Vermont College at 7 p.m. in Kahl Gym in the Gators' 2015 home opener.
