Albany, NY– The Sage Colleges' men's volleyball hosted the Maccabees of Yeshiva University in a Skyline Conference match at Kahl Gym. Sage beat Yeshiva 3-0 (25-13, 25-7, 25-10) to improve to 3-7 overall and 1-2 in the league, while Yeshiva drops to 1-7 overall and 0-4 in the conference.

The Gators were slated to also play Mt. Ida College, but after an injury affected Sage's roster, the final match was cancelled and a new date has not been set for the contest.

Rookie outside hitter, Bailey Cecchi (Agawam, MA/Agawam) racked up 13 kills with five digs and two aces with a solo block. Freshman setter Tyler Bastos (Ludlow, MA/Ludlow) finished with 29 setting assists, while adding six digs and two total blocks and five kills. Freshman middle hitter Ryan Guyton (Lockport, NY/Lockport) added ten kills with eight digs, two aces and was a perfect 6-0 in receptions with no errors. Rookie Casey Fitzpatrick (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill) racked up seven digs with two aces and eight digs with no     errors in five attempts. Senior co-captain Thaddeus Sipe (Loudonville, NY/Hawthorne Valley) added five digs with four kills and was perfect with his six receptions. Sophomore co-captain Chris MacArthur (Hillsdale, NY/Taconic Hills) racked up a pair of aces and added three digs with four kills for the Gators.

Sage returns to action on February 25 hosting Purchase College in a 7 p.m. Skyline Conference match at Kahl Gym.
