New York, NY—The Sage College's junior men's basketball player, Mason Horne (Albany, NY/La Salle Institute) has been named to the 2012-2013 Skyline Conference Men's Basketball All-Star Second Team.

Horne led the Gators in scoring this season after connecting for 410 points, which is a Sage single-season record. He averaged 16.4 ppg with a 5.5 rpg average in 25 games played and started. He was the Gators' top scorer 13 times this past season, while five times also leading the squad in rebounding.

Horne also elevated his Sage career resume to include 975 points with 352 career rebounds. He is the program's second all-time leading scorer and is poised to become the second player in Sage men's basketball history to join the 1,000 point club.

Over the course of his junior season, he was named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll five times and currently ranks No. 5 in the league in scoring, while standing at No. 10 in field goal percentage (151-311, 48.6%), No. 8 in steals (1.56 per game), and . 10 in defensive rebounds (104, 4.16 rpg).

Sage stands at 13-13 on the season after garnering the program's first Skyline Conference Tournament appearance, but fell in the quarterfinals.  The Gators must now await the announcement of the 2013 ECAC Upstate Tournament field, which will take place on Monday, February 23 with hopes of making their second appearance in the tournament after first garnering a berth in 2011.
