Gators take two on Saturday to share Skyline Regular-Season Crown

SAGE CAPS SKYLINE PLAY WITH SWEEP OF SARAH LAWRENCE AND ST. JOSEPH'S-BROOKLYN;

Bronxville, NY--The Sage Colleges' women's volleyball team travelled to Sarah Lawrence College for a Skyline Conference tri-match with St. Joseph's Brooklyn. Sage took both matches, 3-0 as they beat SLC, 25-9, 25-6, 25-9 and then beat SJC-BK, 25-14, 25-11, 25-8. The Gators stand at 22-10 on the year overall, while finishing conference play with a 9-1 mark.

Against Sarah Lawrence, junior outside hitter Michayla Berard (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) racked up seven  kills, while senior middle hitter Mickey Mango (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga Springs) added six kills and helped the Gator combine for a .418 attack percentage, while holding the Gryphons to a -.185 attack percentage.

Junior libero Siena Wilder (Ballston Spa, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Spa) had eight digs with seven aces, while junior setter Rachel Liebig (Hartford, NY/Hartford) had 20 setting assists with seven aces. Junior defensive specialist Missy Schneiderman (Middletown, NY/Minisink Valley) added five digs.

Against St. Joseph's-Brooklyn, Sage was led by Mango as she tallied 11 kills and had a .500 attack percentage in the match. Berard had a .368 attack percentage and had 10 kills for the match as Sage held the Golden Bears to a .038 attack percentage.

Liebig added 38 setting assists with five aces and five digs, while Wilder tallied another four aces with 15 digs and was 11-0 with no reception errors.

Mango stands No. 8 at Sage with her 699 career kills, while Berard stands No. 10 in career kills as she has 660 kills, while Wilder has 945 career digs and is No. 16. Wilder also has 175 career aces and is now tied for No. 6 with Tiffany Magnino (1999-2002) and Liebig is No. 8 in aces with 159 as she moved ahead of Catelyn Samoranski (152, 2004-2007).

Sage returns to action hosting the Skyline Conference Semifinals on November 5 at 7 p.m. in Kahl Gym as they have earned a first-round bye.
