Wilder and Mango earn All-Tournament Acclaim as Gators post a 3-1 record at Oswego Tournament

Oswego, NY--The Sage Colleges' women's volleyball team was back in action on Saturday afternoon on the final day of the Oswego State Invitational. The Gators won both matches on Saturday to finish the tournament at 3-1 and placed two players on the All-Tournament Team, as senior middle hitter Mickey Mango (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga Springs) and junior libero Siena Wilder (Ballston Spa, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Spa) were both honored.

Sage opened with a 3-1 victory over Utica (25-9, 25-16, 24-26, 25-14) and then topped D'Youville, 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-20) and find themselves at 8-5 on the season.

Sage's opening match on Saturday went four sets but the Gators triumphed as three players all finished with 10 kills each. Mango had 10 kills, while junior outside hitter Michayla Berard (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) and junior Katy Rimawi (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) all chipped in with 10 kills as well. Berard added four digs with five total blocks, while sophomore defensive specialist Missy Schneiderman (Middletown, NY/Minisink Valley) added 15 digs.

Junior setter Rachel Liebig (Hartford, NY/Hartford) had 10 digs with 38 setting assists, while Wilder had 17 digs with four aces.

Against D'Youville, Sage was paced by the play of Mango as she had nine kills with two aces. Senior right side Morgan Robinson (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) added five kills, while junior outside hitter Sara Campolieta (Fulton, NY/G. Ray Bodley) added seven digs with four kills and two aces.  

Wilder tallied 13 digs in the action while Schneiderman tallied 10 digs in the action.

Sage is back in action on September 25 and 26 competing at the Skidmore College Invitational as the Gators open play facing Ramapo College at 7:30 p.m. on Friday night.
