Big night for Gators as volleyball tops Colby-Sawyer, 3-0

Saratoga Springs, NY--The Sage Colleges' women's volleyball team competed on Friday night on the first night of the Skidmore College Classic. Sage racked up a 3-0 win over Colby-Sawyer College (25-20, 25-18, 25-22) and find themselves at 9-5 on the year.

Senior middle hitter Mickey Mango (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga Springs) tallied 12 kills in the match and added three total blocks. She elevated her career resume to include 599 career kills after the performance on Friday, putting her No. 10 in career kills, while standing No. 4 in career blocks with 231.

Junior setter Rachel Liebig (Hartford, NY/Hartford) had 11 digs with 28 setting assists, while adding an ace. She is now No. 12 on the career assist list with 121. Junior libero Siena Wilder (Ballston Spa, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Spa) added 21 digs with two aces and has moved into the No. 13 career spot with 120, just one behind Liebig.

Junior outside hitter Michayla Berard (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) connected for nine kills and earned her 500th career kill in the action as she now has 508, which is No. 12 all-time at Sage.   Senior right side Morgan Robinson (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) added six kills and also surpassed the 500 career plateau on Friday night as she 501 all-time (No. 14).

Junior outside hitter Sara Campolieta (Fulton, NY/G. Ray Bodley) added 10 digs and a pair of kills, junior Katy Rimawi (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) racked up 11 digs.

Sage is back in action on September 26 competing at the Skidmore College Invitational as the Gators will face Ramapo College at 11 a.m. and Middlebury College at 3 p.m.
