Volleyball team collects 3-1 win over Fighting Tigers

Cobleskill, NY--The Sage Colleges' women's volleyball team was back in action on Wednesday night with a non-conference match at SUNY-Cobleskill. The Gators posted the 3-1 win marking the second time Sage has topped the Fighting Tigers this season (25-10, 25-27, 25-10, 25-13). Sage is now 5-4 on the year, while Cobleskill stands at 2-6.

Junior libero Siena Wilder (Ballston Spa, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Spa) tallied 20 digs in the action with eight setting assists and more importantly eight aces. Sophomore defensive specialist Missy Schneiderman (Middletown, NY/Minisink Valley) tallied 10 digs in the action.

Senior right side Morgan Robinson (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) added nine kills, while senior middle hitter Mickey Mango (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga Springs) had10 kills.

Junior outside hitter Michayla Berard (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) picked up nine kills, while junior setter Rachel Liebig (Hartford, NY/Hartford) had two aces with 27 setting assists with three kills. Junior outside hitter Michayla Berard (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) also had nine kills as well in the action.

Sage is back in action on September 18 and 19 competing at the Oswego State Tournament with an opening pair of matches on Friday against Hartwick College and SUNY-Canton at 6 and 8 p.m.
