Jarosz tallies a pair as Gators down CMSV, 4-0 for 12th straight win

Schenectady, NY---The Sage Colleges men's soccer team collected a 4-0 win over the College of Mt. St. Vincent on Thursday night. The win for Sage is the squad's 12th in a row as the Gators improve to 12-1 overall and 6-0 in the Skyline Conference, while the College of Mt. St. Vincent drops to 2-7-1 overall and 0-5 in the league.

Sage took a 2-0 lead at the half as junior forward Scott Jarosz (Brunswick, ME/Brunswick) scored twice in a two minute span and elevated his record breaking season total to include 19 goals and 38 points. The reining Skyline Conference Co-Player of the Week and the ECAC Metro Division III Player of the Week, he ranks among the top scorers in all of Division III. Jarosz is No. 2 in Division III in goal per game with a 1.46 average, while also ranking No. 4 in total points with his 38 points this season. He also checks in No. 6 in points per game with a 2.92 per game average. Jarosz also is No. 3 in total goals this season (19). He has now tallied three game-winning goals this fall.

Sophomore Gustavo Trinidad (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck) assisted Jarosz's first goal at 36:14 and sophomore midfielder Austin Wilson (Troy, NY/Tamarac) collected the assist on Jarosz's second goal at the 38:49 mark. Sage jumped out to a 3-0 lead on a Dolphin own goal at 72:07, before junior defender Kevin Dommreis (LaGrangeville, NY/Millbrook) tallied a goal on a direct kick from the right side at the 75:14 mark and provided the Gators with a 4-0 lead.

In goal for the Gators, freshman TJ Zehner (Beacon, NY/Beacon) made 1 save in his 72 minutes of action and shared in the shutout win with junior Tim Madden (Watertown, NY/Watertown).  The Gators have now collected five shutouts this fall. CMSV's freshman Juan Alatriste (Spring Valley, NY) took the loss and made four saves in the match.

Sage returns to action on Saturday, October 13 hosting St. Joseph's College (LI) in a 2 p.m. Skyline Conference match to be held at Bethlehem SoccerPlex. The Dolphins return to action on October 15 hosting Skyline Conference foe, Yeshiva University in an 8 p.m. match.
