Joanie Cooney Named Skyline Women's Volleyball Player of the Week

New York, NY-- Sage's Junior setter Joanie Cooney (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) earned a spot on the Ithaca College All-Tournament Team for her play at the tournament. In addition, she was cited by the SKyline Conference with a selection as this week's Women's Volleyball Player of the Week.

She continues to lead the Gators as a team co-captain and floor general. She now has 744 setting assists this season, elevating her career total to 2,195. A candidate for the 2012 CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District Team, she has played in all 26 matches this fall as well as 88 sets. She has 61 kills with 254 digs. Overall on her career, she has played in 306 sets in 91 matches and now has 194 kills with 92 aces and 726 digs.
